{"id":3538,"date":"2021-12-09T22:53:32","date_gmt":"2021-12-09T22:53:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/axiatech.com.co\/?p=3538"},"modified":"2021-12-09T22:56:12","modified_gmt":"2021-12-09T22:56:12","slug":"pilotes-helicoidales-subestacion-seccionadora-220-66-kv-lastarria","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/axiatech.com.co\/en\/pilotes-helicoidales-subestacion-seccionadora-220-66-kv-lastarria\/","title":{"rendered":"Helical piles \u2013 220\/66 kV sectioning substation \u2013 Lastarria"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\"><strong>Goals<\/strong><br>At the height of the municipality of Loncoche, in the IX Region of La Araucan\u00eda, Chile, the substation sections the Caut\u00edn \u2013 Ciruelos 220 kV line and the Temuco \u2013 Loncoche 66 kV line, with the aim of improving the electrical infrastructure in the La Araucan\u00eda region.<br>AXIATECH was requested by EDEMSA Chile, in charge of the construction of the New Lastarria Substation, for the execution of the engineering, supply and construction of the foundations of the substation's structures and yard equipment.<br>In view of the technical challenges that the typology of the project and geographical location required, it was necessary to carry out an investigation of the state of the art and practice in terms of foundations, resulting in the selection of the alternative of helical piles as the choice with the greatest advantage. technical and economic for the construction of the project foundations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\"><strong>CONVENTIONAL SOLUTION<\/strong><br>In a geological context, the project area is located on fluviolacustrine deposits made up of sand and clay, the water table levels, even in the summer season, are close to the surface, configuring a quite complex and challenging geotechnical and soil mechanics scenario. The stratigraphic profile is mainly composed of highly compressible, saturated soils with considerable organic matter content, which requires thinking about special and deep foundations in order to eliminate future problems of settlement and deformation.<br>In addition to the aforementioned, we cannot leave aside an important issue that directly affects the performance of the foundations and that is the seismic complexity that any construction located in Chilean territory represents. In fact, the Lastarria substation is located just 88 km from the city of Valdivia, the place where the epicenter of the largest earthquake in the history of humanity has been recorded.<br>En virtud de lo anterior, era obligatorio concebir cimentaciones profundas para atender las solicitaciones de carga y la demanda s\u00edsmica.<br>However, the geographical location and the nature of the soils configured onerous construction scenarios to carry out the project. Helical piles as a preferred foundation technique in energy transmission and distribution projects in Chilean territory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\"><br><strong>RESULT<\/strong><br>During the construction phase and thanks to the implementation of installation, verification and testing protocols; In addition to state-of-the-art installation and measurement equipment with the help of highly trained personnel for the development of the construction, from the execution and control of the project it was possible to achieve the challenging milestones set in the programming phase.
